Sandustry Copper Guide: Find Copper Ore, Smelt Copper & Make Power Bricks
Find underground Copper Ore, turn Copper into Liquid Copper in a Smelter, move it through liquid logistics, and cast high-capacity Power Bricks.
Where to find Copper Ore
Copper Ore appears in relatively small underground veins. The official Wiki does not give a universal depth such as -250m or -600m; the useful rule is to search deeper underground and use the digging tool that can damage the ore.
Copper Ore is harder to dig than Dirt. The official Wiki also notes that the Void Gun has only a minimal effect on Copper Ore, so it should not be your primary copper-mining plan.
Copper processing chain
The official material pages describe the core conversion as one Copper producing one Liquid Copper. Copper cannot be melted with ordinary flames; use the Smelter.
Power Brick setup
The official Research page lists the Copper Mold as the route for casting a Power Brick from Liquid Copper. It also lists the Smelter and Florinol Battery as prerequisites for that research, with a 2,000 Gold research cost in the current Wiki entry.
Place the Smelter, liquid route, Copper Mold, and energy storage close enough that you can inspect every stage. A compact layout is easier to debug than a long pipe run hidden behind terrain.
Copper troubleshooting
Avoid outdated copper numbers
Do not treat a fixed depth, ore-per-minute value, temperature threshold, pipe insulation item, or invented ingot recipe as universal unless it has been tested against the current build. The official Wiki currently supports the material flow and building relationships above, not the older fixed numbers often repeated in third-party guides.
