1. Where to Find Copper Ore in Sandustry

Depth & Biome: Copper Ore does not spawn on the surface dunes. You must mine downwards past the upper soil and aquifer layers to Depth -250m to -600m (The Copper Crags).

Visual Appearance: Look for dense, brownish-orange crystalline ore veins embedded within hard granite rockfaces.

Detection: The Tier 2 Material Scanner highlights copper veins with a distinct amber outline through solid terrain.

2. The Liquid Copper Smelting Chain

In Sandustry, copper is not instantly turned into ingots on a table. It follows realistic fluid-thermal metallurgy:

3. Key Tips for Copper Automation

Pipe Temperature Management: Molten copper must remain above 300°C while traveling through pipes. If long uninsulated pipes lose heat to cold surrounding rock, the copper will solidify inside the pipe and cause a permanent blockage. Wrap pipes in Thermal Insulation Sheaths.

Automating Power Bricks: Power Bricks require 4x Solid Copper Ingots + 2x Refined Gold Flakes. Construct your copper foundry immediately adjacent to your primary gold shaker refinery to minimize conveyor transit times.
